Leukodystrophy Australia has fantastic opportunities to have fun, socialise and support us throughout the year. We welcome your participation in, and suggestions about, these events. Perhaps you would like to create and run your own fundraising event to support us and each other!
Fundraising and volunteering are important investments in our future, and our volunteer Committee of Management plays a pivotal role. Should you be interested in the management aspect, we would be most happy to talk with you. Any help you can give is, and will be, greatly appreciated!

The formalities
The formal business will include, as required by our Model Rules: the confirmation of the Minutes of the 2025 AGM; presentation of the Annual Report and Financial Statements; the election of the Committee of Management for 2026/27; and the confirmation of annual subscriptions.
The election of the new Committee involves the election of a President, a Vice President, a Secretary, a Treasurer and a number of ordinary Committee Members. We are calling for your support and involvement in the management of Leukodystrophy Australia, its support of members, families and sustainability.
Please contact our office if you have an interest in supporting Leukodystrophy Australia as a Committee member or in offering a specialist expertise to the Committee on an ad-hoc basis. Eligible Members
Only eligible members of Leukodystrophy Australia may vote at the AGM. To be an eligible member, persons must have completed and submitted a “Membership & Supporters Application/Renewal” form https://www.leuko.org.au/support-us/membership/ during the 2026 financial year and up to a week prior to the AGM date. If an eligible member cannot attend the AGM personally, he or she may vote using the proxy form (located overleaf on page 2 of this notice). A proxy must be received by post/email at least 24 hours before the AGM or may be given to the President of the AGM before the meeting.
